- Midwest Region: Slap Shot (1977)
- South Region: Raging Bull (1980)
- East Region: Bull Durham (1988)

I’m liking Cool Runnings for an early round upset, as do I VIsion Quest, Karate Kid and Field of Dreams.

Ahh, just what we were waiting for, the controversy…I will share some thoughts from the selection committee concerning some of your observations…
White Men Can’t Jump – not only are Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson two of the most talentless hacks to ever grace the Big Screen, but any movie with that squeaking baboon Rosie Perez should never even have been released. Popularity obviates quality, and that applies to many movies that made this field.
Talladega Nights – Making fun of NASCAR is like making fun of a retarded kid. It’s both easy, and wrong. Only reason that movies made the field is Will Farrell.
Remember the Titans – How many “Denzel Washington against the world” movies do we need? Malcolm X, Crimson Tide, The Siege, The Hurricane, John Q, The Book of Eli, blah, blah, blah. Another popular, but not all that great movie.
Rocky – Even though Rocky won an Oscar for best picture, it was really devalued by all those lame sequels. Take Rocky and Rocky II, re-edit them into one 3-hour movie and you have a clear #1 seed on this list. Burn everything else.
If you recall from the original post that listed the candidates being considered for the field of 64, we stated there would be no remakes and no sequels considered because they are all terrible in a derivative and painfully non-original way.
And I like your upset picks, even that shit-pile Field of Dreams.

Well, I didn’t vote on some of the movies I’ve never seen. No Baseketball!?! I would’ve double voted for that one no matter who it was against. Is it just me or is the East Region the weakest?!?
