Wow, you learn something new every day. Take the effects of anabolic steroids for example. Granted, I knew they made you into the Incredible Hulk, as well as giving you pimples, making your head triple in size, and shrinking your manbits into raisins, but I had no clue they completely divorced you from reality. That was until I read this quote from Barry Bonds:
The 45-year-old Bonds, back in the Bay Area for a reunion at AT&T Park of the Giants’ 2000 NL West champion team, says he doesn’t believe now is the right time to retire — though he also insists he’s not in shape to play right now if an interested club came calling.
Time for the reality check, Barry.
- You are 45 years old, which makes you older than every other major leaguer except Jaime Moyer
- Three Opening Days have gone by and you aren’t on anybody’s roster
- You won’t be on anybody’s roster because you bring an entire baggage car with you
Really, it seems the only person who doesn’t know Barry Bonds baseball career is over is Barry Bonds.
