Sports Doppelgangers, Volume 134: The Golf/Skateboard Connection” Edition

I must give the credit to spooting this one to Mrs. J-DubToday’s installment is less about two people sharing a resemblance, and more a straight-up accusation. If you take a good look at that picture, the reason for it’s inclusion in this series is obvious. But if one were to truly give that image it’s due scrutiny, the case can be made the only difference between NBC Sports golf analyst Brad Faxon and skateboarding legend Tony Hawk is contact lenses and a bit of nose putty.

I’m not saying they look alike…I’m saying they are the same person. Sure, there’s that whole thing about they’ve never been seen together, but in reality, who would even notice that? Even the oldest skate-rat doesn’t watch golf (we know how old you are, Mr. Hawk or whoever you really are), and there’s no way the X Games is on the television in the clubhouse at the country club.

Not to mention, just because there isn’t a visible connection between golf and skateboarding, nobody can say with certainty one does not exist. Every kid my age (roughly the same age as BradTony FaxonHawk) all had skateboards. Now that we’re all orbiting Planet 60, we’ve all got a set of Pings in the back of our SUVs.

Nobody is likely to believe my theory, so BradTony FaxonHawk’s secret stays safe for now…unless we both join the same country club.
