Congratulations are due for the aptly named “Winner’s Bracket” for…you guessed it, winning the 2012 Dubsism Bracket Challenge. But for many of the rest of us (myself especially), the question is: Can you euthanize a bracket?
I manage to get only one of the Final Four, and then I’m smart enough to not pick that team as the winner. The only real upside is that Kansas lost. Screw Kansas; there is no team in college basketball I hate more than the Jayhawks.
Naturally, because I’m a masochist, I’ll be back next year.

There’s always next year to torture yourself all over again. I’m still trying to figure out why my wife does better than I on these things. I guess it is over-thinking on my part. Or…she’s really paying attention during the regular season when she says she’s not. That’s just as likely.

This is what I get for not joining the NCAA bracket pool. Don’t ask, but I actually had Kansas and Ohio St. in the Final Four, with Kentucky winning the whole thing. Of course, who didn’t have Kentucky on top right?

Prior to filling out your bracket, did you and the “Cinderella bracket” author engage in a coversation that I can only assume went like this…
J-dub: I really like MSU.
Cinderella: me too! Great basketball minds do think alike.
J-dub: if they get good guard play, I think they could be legit!
Cinderella: yes! That Earvin Johnson is a lock for the #1 pick in the draft – also when Mateen Cleaves has it going, it’s athleticism at it’s most transcendant level. I can only liken Cleaves to an african-american Ken Caminiti.
J-dub: I’m really glad we talked about this. Dashed hoops really had me leaning toward picking Iowa state.

Don’t get me wrong, I really respect Malcolm X – It’s just people really underrate Matt Lawton’s social and historic contributions and greatness.
I mean besides the transcendant baseball prowess.
