The Seventeenth Annual Dubsy Award Nomination Ballot

Norman Maine award scene

It’s that time of year for all you loyal Dubsists out there…. time yet again for our Thanksgiving-weekend  tradition here at Dubsism. Today is the day we open the nomination period for our coveted awards covering various achievements in the world of sport. For the seventeenth year in a row, we here at Dubsism will be handing out the Dubsy Awards.

Regardless of where you are reading this, the fact you found this blog means you’ve searched the internet, ran out of interesting content, and landed here. But it also means you’ve read a lot of sports stuff and collectively you can provide a more complete pool of nominees than can the drunken bunch of keyboard droolers here at Dubsism.

If you aren’t familiar with the Dubsys, you can always check out our previous awards. The categories and the people for whom they awards are named are telling, self-explanatory, and pretty goddamn hilarious.

Having said that, here is your official Dubsy Award nomination ballot. Simply fill in your nominees (be sure to include pertinent facts; links to supporting evidence are always welcome, and depending on the reason for nomination, it may be required by the Dubsism legal department), then copy and paste your ballot into an email addressed to dubsism@yahoo.com or you can use our contact form below.

Warning

Warning
Warning.

There are very few criteria for submitting a ballot:

  1. One nominee per category per email.
  2. Nominees must come from the world of sport, and they must fit the category in which they are nominated.
  3. It is not required to provide a nominate in each category.
  4. Nominees should have a national presence; as much as your local high school coach might be a perfect nominee, if the rest of us never heard of him, it rings a bit hollow. However, we are more than willing to make exceptions for awesome stories which have supporting material. We’re here to entertain, not get sued.

We also will be giving honorable mentions to the best nominees which are pretty damn good, but didn’t win. Regardless, for all nominees which make the Awards post, we will post the nominator’s name and a link to their Blog/Web Page, X/Twitter handle, or any other site (not your OnlyFans…nobody wants to see naked blog-readers). Of course, those wishing to remain anonymous can do so as well; just tell us you don’t want anybody to know you read this blog.

Deadline for submission is 5 p.m. Eastern U.S. time on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025.
