For the third season in a row, the St. Louis Blues racked up over 90 points in the regular season and couldn’t get past the first round of the play-offs.  A lot of people want to blame the weak goal-tending; the Blues have had netminder issues ever since they inexplicably traded Jaroslav Halak last year. But another under appreciated reason may be that one of their key players, Kevin Shattenkirk, looks waaaaaaaay too much like Latka Gravas from Taxi.

On another note, despite the unfortunate resemblance, the Blues need to make him a captain because the “Star Trek” jokes write them selves for “Captain Shattenkirk.”
