June is the month named for the Roman goddess of marriage Juno, who was also the wife of the supreme deity Jupiter.  As such, maybe that’s the reason we have so many championships determined in summer’s first month. We also noticed those championships a giving us a disproportionately high number of doppelgangers.

The Golden State warriors won their first NBA title in forty years, and head coach Steve Kerr became the first rookie coach to win in over thirty. But what matters to us here is how much Kerr looks like Neil Patrick Harris. The Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks certainly have some serious contributions to this discussion. First, there’s Patrick Kane, who bears a striking resemblance to the “Then” version of 70’s pop star and current burn-out Leif Garrett.  But the “rock star” theme doesn’t stop there. You can’t tell me that Johnny Oduya and Lenny Kravitz couldn’t swap driver’s licenses.  From there, we go from musicians to actors. The mustache helpsw, but that isn’t the only reason why head coach Joel Quenneville looks a lot like actor Emiliano Diéz. Finally, June is the month which brings us the U.S. Open; the golf championship of our nation. This time, there was a lot of controversy concerning the new course at Chambers Bay, Washington. However, there’s no debating the fact that United States Golf Association (USGA) president Tom O’Toole, Jr. is a dead-on grown-up version of “Ralphie” from A Christmas Story.
