For those of you who don’t know, Stu Grimson was a hockey enforcer steeped in the folklore of the NHL. For those of you who are regular readers of Dubsism, Stu Grimson is featured prominently in the accent photo in the upper left corner of the home page where he is hammering somebody into unconsciousness. A mountain of a man at 6’6″, 250 pounds, Grimson had the brawn to manhandle pretty much anybody on the ice. But in his post-puck career, he had the brains to earn a juris doctor from the University of Memphis.
Let’s be honest…the only good lawyer is the one who works for you. Having said that, how cool would it be to have a “mouthpiece” who can beat the holy living fuck out of anybody in the room? Here’s hoping you never need to hire a lawyer, and if you do, here’s hoping yours can scare the shit out of the other guy’s representation.
That’s why we decided to name this challenge after Grimson. You can’t actually beat him in anything; would you really want to fight a guy such a reputation as an enforcer he was known as the “Grim Reaper?” He never actually beat anybody to death, but it wasn’t for a lack of trying.
That’s why we shifted this to a challenge about beating the most interesting independent sports blogger on the web in a challenge picking the round-by-round winners in the Stanley Cup Play-offs. Here’s how it works.
