Due to the aforementioned moving issue, we managed to miss a few starts on Moyer’s march to Cooperstown. However, three of Moyer’s last four starts were well worth missing. Since his last win on May 14th, the veteran left-hander racked up three losses; one seal clubbing at the hands of the Mets, and two of the hard-luck variety since the newly anemic Philadelphia line-up couldn’t get him two lousy runs.
But Moyer broke that three game skid Saturday against the Padres, twirling a 2-run complete game to notch his sixth victory of the season, leaving him only needing two more to tie Bob Feller. Your Moyer-o-meter has been updated to reflect everything we didn’t get to cover as it happened.
