We all saw it yesterday. Georgia State’s R.J. Hunter’s game wining shot over Baylor looks to be the early front-runner for this tournament’s iconic moment. Let’s face it, if the shot weren’t enough, the “Flop Seen ‘Round the World” by his father and coach Ron Hunter pretty much seals that moment as one we will be seeing in high-light reels for years to come.
What may get lost in all of that minutia is that R.J. Hunter is only a mustache and 20 years away from being able to pass for Sinbad, who somehow was able to pass for a comedian in the 1980’s. There’s a blog I follow (and you should follow it too if you’re my age) called Return to the 80’s. It may be the only place left where anybody remembers Sinbad.
