As an exact opposite to yet another St. Louis Blues’ pathetic limp out of the playoffs, last night the Montreal Canadiens took the first step toward being the first team from north of the border to capture Lord Stanley’s Cup in quite some time. How long has it been since a Canadian club hoisted the cup? Not as long since old-school comedian W. C. Fields was tearing it up on the silver screen, but that 100 years doesn’t erase his resemblance to Canadiens’ head coach Michel Therrien.
