There you have it, college football fans. Another season is in the books, and for the fifth time in nine years, Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide finds themselves with yet another championship. But the winner of this year’s Wally Hotvedt College Football Bowling Challenge didn’t pick them, and he was right. Alabama may have won the game, but this challenge is for gamblers, and the Crimson Tide didn’t cover the spread. A field goal in overtime is always a winner on the field, but when Vegas has you as a 4.5 point favorite…well, that’s why they call it gambling.
Having said that, here’s the win/place/show for the field which had the guts to take the challenge. A player who picked every game correctly would have netted a perfect score of 41. That didn’t happen, but our winner posted a pretty damn good total.
What do you call a gambler who hits two out of three of his bets? Pretty fucking good…that’s what. Congratulations to BAB, and a hearty Thank You! to all those who participated. Hopefully, we’ll see you all again next bowl season!
However, but if you don’t want to wait that long for another challenge, stay tuned for details on our first ever Dubsism World Cup Challenge!
