Sports Doppelgangers, Volume 118: The “San Antonio Spurs Meet The Godfather” Edition

With the NBA Play-offs upon us, if you combine that with our fondness for the TV-cop comedy classic “Barney Miller” and the movie meisterwerk “The Godfather,” it shouldn’t come as a surprise we discovered San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Ettore Messina could be Abe Vigoda’s long-lost son.

We are trying to confirm the rumor that Messina pleaded with Tom Hagen to “get the Spurs off the hook…for old time’s sake.” Hagen was not available for comment.
