Regular readers of Dubsism might recognize the name Stu Grimson. Just look up to the far right corner of the page your reading right now. The giant you see hammering some poor slob into unconsciousness is Stu Grimson. Actually, that “poor slob” is Matthew Barnaby of the Boston Bruins. Barnaby had taken a “cheap shot” at one of Grimson’s Los Angeles Kings teammates, and everybody in the arena knew what was coming. In fact, in the video that provided that still in the corner, you can clearly see Grimson tell Barnaby what’s coming.
One of the National Hockey League’s legendary “goons” in the 80s and 90s, Grimson’s reputation for dishing out knuckle-sandwich sized servings of rink justice earned him the nickname “The Grim Reaper.” It also earned him a spot on our list of NHL “enforcers” and their fictional “cop” counterparts.
Today, he finds himself behind the analyst desk at the NHL Network. But his six-and-a-half foot frame and the amount of make-up they are caking on him make Grimson a lock for the role of “Lerch” in the next Addams Family sequel.

Haha! True!
It’s been ages since I’ve heard the term “knuckle sandwich”. I’m going to use it at the office today & see what happens.
