Sports Doppelgangers, Volume 103: The “Jim Bob Gator” Edition
Yesterday, in one of the best college football games of the day, the Florida Gators cemented their second straight trip to the SEC Championship game. Head coach Jim McElwain is the first guy to do that in Gainesville in his first two seasons. To commemorate such an occasion, Mrs. J-Dub pointed out the resemblance between Coach McElwain and some reality TV guy I’d never heard of. It seems his name is Jim Bob Duggar, and apparently he’s really good at making a lot of fucked-up kids.
Regardless, for the want of one bad dye-job, these two could be twins. Not to mention, if you were casting a movie and needed a stereotypical southern Baptist preacher, you’ve got two solid picks right here.

Coach Mac is a goofy fucker, that’s for sure, but he’s our goofy fucker. (I say that ’cause we just beat LSU.)
Spurrier was goofy in his own right back in the day. Still is. But the fucker was sharp and cutthroat. I’m not sure Mac has either of those qualities, at least not to the head ball coach’s extent. But he’s winning the SEC East so we’ll keep him… until he doesn’t.
