The 2010 Dubsism Major League Baseball Pre-Season Rankings

Rankings By Division: American League: AL East: 1) New York Yankees Upside: The Bombers easily could have turned on the money-hose and flooded out free-agents like Jason Bay or Matt Holliday, or they could have wasted some serious dough by resigning an over-valued Johnny Damon. But, instead of having their usual explosive cash-gasm, they realized their in-house options are… Read More The 2010 Dubsism Major League Baseball Pre-Season Rankings

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association Tournament – The Final Five

The first round of the mayhem known as the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) is a best-of-three series, but some teams didn’t get the memo, deciding instead to require a bit of extra hockey on Friday night. Both of the extended games went as expected, with St. Cloud State continuing its overtime woes, and Colorado College finding… Read More The Western Collegiate Hockey Association Tournament – The Final Five

The Favre-gasm Is Now A Matter of Public Record

In the ongoing trial involving Minnesota Vikings’ defensive tackles Kevin and Pat Williams and the weight-loss supplement StarCaps, the core question at hand is whether the NFL violated Minnesota law by suspending the two players. Granted, this case is no different from most legal cases as it involves some complexities that aren’t immediately apparent. Having lived in Minnesota and therefore having had to live with the insufferable Minnesota football fans, I appreciated anybody that used Paul Bunyan’s Axe to consistently cut the balls off Goldy Gopher. But the poor guy just can’t get away from America’s… Read More Jim Sorgi Just Can’t Get Out From Behind a Manning

Open Letter to the American Sports Media: Enough with the Sanctimony Already

There are a lot of things in this country that started with a valid need for them to exist, then they outgrew their usefulness and transmogrified into some sort of horrible, Bizzaro-world mutation. The labor unions that kept workers from being mangled in a sausage grinder now ensure a non-skilled laborer gets 43 bucks an… Read More Open Letter to the American Sports Media: Enough with the Sanctimony Already
