Monday marks the beginning of Masters Week; certainly one of the biggest events on the golf calendar…if not the biggest.  But what is most definitely a tradition unlike any other is that our very own Surprise the Cat is a huge golf fan.  She’s already been a part of one of our movie blog-a-thons, and now that she’s seen our sports challenges, Surprise wants in on that as well.

This one is pretty straight forward; it’s essentially a fantasy golf challenge.

Here’s What You Can Win

A cookbook for cat lovers and something everybody loves: Cold Hard Cash!

Trust me…I love to cook, and I’ve got the elastic-waist pants to prove it.  You don’t even need to take my word for it, the Dubsism’s “What’s Sports Without Food?” page on Pinterest is “Exhibit A” for that. In terms of the value of this prize, it’s not hard to figure out what a 300-page hard-cover cookbook costs.  But as far as the amount of cash involved is concerned…well, that’s a”Surprise!”

Here’s what we can tell you.  The cash prize will get paid in good, old-fashioned, hard-working American greenbacks; every bill will have a president on it.   That should be the first clue as to the amount; you ain’t getting a “Franklin” since “Big Ben” was never a president.  The other clue is since we’ve told you in all these challenge give-aways that the average income for a blogger is somewhere between the stoner who keeps getting his hours cut at McBurgerQueen and a part-time night clerk at a Motel 6.  With Tax Day coming, what do you think a blogger’s unemployed cat is listing for adjusted gross income?

Like we said, you certainly aren’t getting a “Franklin,” but you’re getting more than a “Hamilton,” who also wasn’t a Commander-in-Chief.  Surprise is giving you a collection of menus for feline-friendly feasts, and we’ll toss in enough to help the grocery tab.

You can pick any four you want, but it has been our experience that picking four who are actually in the field helps.

2) Pick your tie-breakers

• The total score for the winner
• The total score for the low amateur

3) Send your picks to us – the deadline for entry is 7 a.m. Eastern U.S. time Thursday, April 11th, 2019

 

4) Scoring

Again, it’s pretty straight-forward.  The player who has the golfers with the lowest total score wins. Rounds not played due to missing the cut, withdrawing, or any other reason will automatically be scored as a “90.”

In case you were wondering, we have no idea how a rescue cat became such a big small-ball fan. We think it’s a Tiger Woods thing.
